Flight Instructor Training Program
Certified Flight Instructor (CFI)
This CFI course is designed to take a Commercial Pilot single or multi engine airplane certificate holder to the completion of the Certified Flight Instructor (CFI) Certificate. The CFI certificate is required for one to teach other pilot certificate applicants, conduct flight reviews, proficiency or insurance checkouts, and is usually the catalyst in getting that first professional pilot job.
Requirements:
Be at least 18 years of age
Hold a commercial pilot certificate
Be able to read, speak, and understand the English language
Obtain at least a current third-class medical certificate
Pass knowledge and practical tests
Have logged at least 250 hours (200 for helicopters) and the required training for the CFI rating per FAA regulations
Certified Flight Instructor Instrument (CFII)
Level up your CFI certification and add the Instructor Instrument training rating to your certificate. A CFII is authorized to teach aspiring pilots how to fly using instruments and navigate under instrument flight rules conditions. This rating is an extension of the basic flight instructor certificate and demonstrates the instructor's proficiency in teaching instrument flying techniques and procedures.
