In-Person Ground School

In-Person Ground School Classes

At Vertical Vision Flight Academy, we believe the best way to learn is in person, not alone behind a screen. Our ground schools are built around collaboration, real-time instructor feedback, and learning alongside your peers in a structured classroom environment.

Class sizes are intentionally kept small (8–12 students) to encourage discussion rather than lectures. All ground classes are hosted in our classroom at our hangar, creating a focused, aviation-centered learning space.

Every ground school is supported by our in-house training course outline to help you stay organized and on track. Aircraft-specific maneuver guides tailored to the aircraft you’ll be flying are provided, and all required charts, training aids, and training books are supplied as part of the ground class.

Why In-Person Ground School?

Learn with your peers – Collaborate, ask questions, and learn from shared experiences

  • Real-time instructor feedback – No waiting, no guessing, no confusion

  • Small class sizes (8–12 students) – Conversational, discussion-based learning, not lectures

  • Structured and focused – Clear timelines with defined goals

  • Checkride-oriented – Built to prepare you for both the FAA written exam and oral exam

Our smaller class sizes allow instructors to tailor discussions to the group, adapt explanations on the fly, and ensure every student truly understands the material, not just memorizes it.
