In-Person Ground Class

At Vertical Vision Flight Academy, you’ll engage directly with knowledgeable instructors in interactive, in-person ground classes. Picture yourself immersed in comprehensive lessons on aviation theory, weather patterns, aerodynamics, aircraft systems, FAA regulations, and navigation techniques. This personalized, face-to-face experience ensures deep understanding and thorough preparation for your FAA written exam.

Structured Flight Training

Visualize your progress clearly mapped out through our structured flight training syllabus. Ground Training

Our ground training is meticulously structured into clear stages to ensure thorough preparation:

Stage 1:

  • Lesson 1-8: Fundamental aviation knowledge, aerodynamics, and regulations

  • Stage 1 Exam: Evaluates comprehension of foundational topics

Stage 2:

  • Lesson 9-16: Advanced aviation concepts, navigation, weather patterns, and aircraft systems

  • End-of-Course Exam: Comprehensive review covering all ground training material

  • FAA Written Test Preparation: Ensuring readiness for official examination

Flight Training

Flight training is structured into three carefully planned stages for progressive skill development:

Stage 1:

  • Basic aircraft operation and pre-flight preparation

  • Skill development leading to solo flight readiness

Stage 2:

  • Advanced maneuvers and techniques

  • Cross-country flight planning and navigation

Stage 3:

  • Solo cross-country flights and consolidation of all flight training

  • Final evaluation and practical exam preparation

Estimated Training Hours

  • Flight Training: Approximately 45 hours of training with a Certified Flight Instructor (CFI)

  • Simulator Training: Approximately 5 hours with a CFI

  • Solo Flight Training: Approximately 10 hours

  • Total Hours at Checkride: 60 hours
